Projects Coordinator
Joseph Budu, Projects Coordinator
Joseph completed the University of Education, Ghana, where he pursued a Bachelor of Education degree in Information Technology. His passion for ICT education, research and dissemination stems from his industry certifications in IT and teaching experience in technology in Ghanaian high schools.
This passion motivated him to attend the 3rd International Conference on ICT for Africa held in March 2010 in Yaounde, Cameroon, notwithstanding all the risks getting to Cameroon from Ghana. At this conference, expectations were met and links were created with various ICT researchers and/or practitioners like the Head of NEPAD Cybercrime Unit, Dr. Longe Olumide.
One that stands out is the acquaintance with Dr. Richard Boateng, Executive Director of PearlRichards Foundation (www.pearlrichards.org), where Joseph now plays a role as Project Coordinator. This role is equipping me with further research and project management skills amongst others having been actively involved in the successful hosting of the 2nd Ghana Graduates Conference (www.ghanagraduatesconference.com) and the debut of PRF's Technology Entrepreneurs Seminar Series (www.tessafrica.org).
