Ghana Virtual School

I spent the summer of 2009 (August - December) teaching and conducting research in the University of Ghana Business School. During my time I led an ICITD-UGBS collaboration to develop an elearning platform to support my teaching and research activities in Ghana, dubbed, UGBS MIS Research Scholar Community (and later Ghana Virtual School). - www.gvs.pearlrichards.org

This is a learning and collaboration platform for UGBS research scholars registered for the Management Information Systems (ADMN 609) and Database Systems (ADMN 729) taught by Dr. Richard Boateng at the University of Ghana Business School.

The platform offers a learning environment for research scholars to develop effective research skills through their involvement in classroom and online research activities. Scholars will be encouraged and supported to disseminate the findings  of their research during selected conferences and workshops. In doing so,  scholars improve their presentation skills, critical analytical skills and academic visibility.
